Fly Agaric Mushroom Brooch.
I have a small batch of imperfect Fly Agaric brooches.
There are surface marks where the enamel has shifted during the process. Please see following images to see these blemishes; white lines coming through the red enamel and black lines coming through the white enamel.
These 'cracks' are just surface based and do not effect the function or quality of the brooch.
Please note all items in the sale are non-refundable. You will not get the exact brooch pictured but one similar.
The Fly Agaric is probably our most recognisable British species of fungi and typically grows beneath birch trees, pines and spruces. Their red cap and white spots can usually be seen between late summer and early winter.
Each brooch has been lovingly handmade using an enamelling technique, beginning with a sheet of copper, firing the piece in a kiln and fusing glass to the surface.
Due to the enamelling process each one is unique therefore the surface colour and texture is different on each brooch. Every care has been taken to represent the product accurately and images are selected to try and reflect this.
